This was perhaps the first yacht painting I made, I’m not entirely certain, but it certainly feels like the beginning of something. Looking back at it now, I can see so many possibilities for growth: in the details, the colours, the textures, and the interplay of hues. There is something beautifully uncomplicated about it, a starting point from which the rest of the collection could unfold. It feels like one of the true beginnings of the journey.
