This collection was originally envisioned as four parts: Sky View, Shore View, Yacht View, and Close-Up View. But as the work evolved, so did I. I eventually reached a point of burnout and completed only the Sky View series, before beginning Shore View. The collection ultimately became 11 Sky View pieces and 4 Shore View pieces. The painting you are viewing is the eighth work in the Sky View series, a part of a collection that, much like my process, became something different from what I first imagined.
